INTERNET DIAL-OUT CONNECTION |
Enable to use an external modem to dial the Internet.

BAUD RATE |
This represents the speed or baud rate at which the ExpressXL will communicate with the external modem. For most dial-up accounts, a baud rate of 38400 or 19200 works best.

INITIALIZATION STRING |
This is a string that configures your modem before dialing the Internet.
Default: AT

PHONE NUMBER |
The phone number of the ISP (Internet Service Provider). If required, you can embed special characters in the phone number.

# = same as # button on phone
* = same as * button on phone
Example: *70,555-1212 (the *70, turns off the call waiting feature and pauses before dialing the ISP)

TIMEOUT |
The ExpressXL will attempt to dial up the ISP for the specified number of seconds. If unable to connect during this time period, it will stop and start over again.

USERNAME |
The username or login assigned to you by your ISP.

PASSWORD |
The password assigned to you by your ISP.
|
DEFAULT CONNECTION |
Enabling this option makes the ISP dial-out connection the default connection to the Internet.
Default: On

ALWAYS UP |
If enabled, the ExpressXL will attempt to stay continuously connected to the Internet. If disconnected, it will automatically attempt to reconnect. If configured to upload images to a server via FTP, it is not necessary to enable this option -- the ExpressXL will automatically attempt to dial into the Internet when an image is scheduled to upload if dial-out is enabled.

SEND CR AFTER LOGIN |
This advanced ISP option sends a CR (Carriage Return) after logging in. Most ISP's do not require this.

This advanced ISP option performs a shell login. Most ISP's do not require this.
