To quickly get up and running with StarDot DVR, you need to first add the cameras you want to view and record to the group list. If you are running StarDot DVR on the same local network as your network cameras or video servers, you can use the "Scan Network for Local Devices" option under the Tools menu (this works only for StarDot devices). If you are running StarDot DVR in a remote location and will be recording cameras over the public network or you plan to record non-StarDot cameras, you will need to enter the IP address of each camera or video server. In the device list, right-click "All Views" and add a group. Right-click the newly added group and add the network camera, video server or web image you'd like to view and record. If you don't see images or video from the devices in your device list, double-click "All Views". Right click on the device or on the device's image to enable recording and other advanced options.
